Air Conditioning Designs for a Residential Building Permit
In the state of Florida each county and city has it's own
code requirements that must be met in order to apply for a
residential building permit.
Below is the
criteria used in by different county and city plan review
offices in Florida regarding air conditioning designs for
permitting construction of a new residence. We'll be adding to
this list as we get answers from other jurisdictions. Some
jurisdictions may never require designs with new residential
building permit applications, while other jurisdictions may
require them on all permit applications. Some jurisdictions may
base it on the tonnage required to cool the home, while others
may base it on square feet under air.
